These last few months have been very busy and today I’d love to show you what’s been happening backstage to give you an update on my brand and all the work I’m doing for it…

1st Collection’s Tech Pack

Over the past two weeks, in between my side job at the château, I’ve been deeply focused on creating the tech pack for my collection.

This technical document, made for every single item, details absolutely everything about each piece: all the precise measurements, types of seams and cuts, patterns, the exact list of fabrics, buttons, zippers, and every other material that goes into making them…

The Tech Pack will be like the passport of my collection, or, in other words, the exact blueprint for how each item should be made. It ensures that the manufacturers stay true to the original design in every tiny detail.

Once it’s finished, I’ll be sending it to several manufacturers I’ve carefully selected in France, Portugal and Italy to explore potential collaborations and discuss the terms together.

I’ve been especially focused on finalising the tech pack because on Tuesday, November 4th, I have my first ever visit with a manufacturer in France, and I’m so excited about it ! You’re the first to know. 😉

Sewing the buttons on my prototypes

When I had the final fitting of my prototypes in Paris with my pattern maker, he unfortunately hadn’t received the buttons yet, so I ended up sewing them myself onto the jacket, trousers, and jumpsuit.

It actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because it made me notice a small issue with one of the button types, and it also gave me an idea for a possible design change for the jumpsuit buttons. I’ll keep you posted. 😊

Designing my website

I started with a quick sketch of how I envisioned the homepage, then moved on to an in-depth benchmarking of different fashion websites, analysing every aspect, detail, and user journey I enjoyed.

I want my website to feel poetic and cinematic, an invitation to step into my world of femininity and beauty, where vintage fashion and cinema intertwine, and every woman is reminded that she can be the main character of her own story.

From all this research, my intern Clara has been working hard on the website mockup, building the UX layout that maps out every element on each page. This stage is essential for building a strong foundation before moving on to the aesthetic side of the design.

1st Street Interview ever !

With my collection, I believe in creating clothes that truly understand women, solving the frustrations we’ve all felt when wearing some pieces that just don’t fit right… while also making them feel their most elegant and feminine selves.

So, I took my microphone and went out into the streets of Bordeaux to meet women and listen to their personal experiences with clothes. I asked them what kinds of cuts and designs make them feel beautiful, what matters most to them when they choose their clothes, and what they wish existed to flatter their bodies in the most natural way.

It was a completely new experience for me as someone naturally quite shy, walking up to strangers wasn’t easy. But once I started, I felt something magical about those moments of connection.

The women I spoke with were so kind, generous, and honest. Their words stayed with me, and I left feeling inspired to continue these conversations in other cities.

1st Interview of myself talking about my brand

From the streets back to my studio, we also filmed a more intimate interview surrounded by my sketches and creative work with my intern, Clara.

She asked me about when my dream of becoming a fashion designer began, why I chose to launch my brand now, and what it feels like to be a woman entrepreneur in this field.

It was the first time I’ve been interviewed and it felt like a special moment, quiet, honest, and sharing my passion with the hope to inspire other women to follow their dreams also.

Speaking about my path reminded me why I started all of this: to make women feel beautiful and confident.

And this is just a glimpse of what I’ve been working on…

With Clara, we’ve been filming content, spending hours editing videos, preparing a survey, and more. I’ve also been designing, writing, and creating visuals for the webpage of my pre-order campaign, while making tiny adjustments to my prototypes to ensure each piece flatters women’s bodies perfectly, and that’s only the beginning.

I hope you enjoyed this little peek behind the scenes. I can’t wait to share even more with you soon!

And remember to keep going after your dreams and be an icon.

All my best, bisous xx 💋
