90s Chic Winter Inspiration
Inspire from 90s supermodels to look chic and put together even when the temperatures are low !
A good quality wool coat is your best friend

When going out and about, the most important thing in winter is definitely to wear a good quality warm coat. Specially as the coat usually covers up most of your outfit which is why you want to opt for one that is chic and stylish to make a great first impact. 90s models show us how to do it with neutral tones of creams, beiges, browns and greys for a very elegant look or black for a more minimal look. We love them long with shoulder pads either tied at the waist or loose.

If you want more of a diva look then faux fur coats (or vintage fur) are the ones for you !
Less is more

For ultimate 90s minimalism chic, something about wearing a variety of items of one single tone just exudes an undefined class and luxury. It shows your look is so bold that it doesn’t need a large array of colours to look cool, it suffises to itself and becomes stronger from having “less”.
Choose subtle tones for a “quiet luxury” look or more vibrant colours if you want to make a glamorous fashion statement.
Dressed for business

90s supermodels are famous for strutting down the runway in iconic skirt suits that make us all want to have that ‘successful business woman’ look.
Nowadays it is less frequent to see women wear them, and yet they truly exude the perfect balance of power and femininity at the same time !
Keeping cosy and warm

Knitted jumpers are an essential for keeping warm in winter and are great to use for layering. I noticed that many 90s models used simple turtle neck jumpers as an elegant staple. When chosen in high quality fabrics like cashmere or wool or even with a silk blend, they can be slim fitted while still bringing heat to the body. Although these are expensive fabrics, you can find them second hand or vintage at great prices!
If you prefer a more visible knitted look, jumper dresses or bulkier jumpers can look very cute with straight cut trousers or mini skirts and tights !
Sleeveless cardigans are also great for an extra layer of warmth while adding some character to your outfit.
Accessorising your head to keep it out of the cold

Adding a knitted headband or tying your scarf around your head is a great way to elevate your style in winter while protecting you from the cold, a true win win !
Hopefully this will inspire you to create your best outfits this winter.
All the best,
